You are invited to join us for the free DESERT PREMIERE WATCH PARTY FOR THE RVERS on Sunday November 17, for a live west coast screening of THE RVERS Episode 1 Premiere on Discovery Channel. The event starts at 7.30am at beautiful Catalina Spa & RV Resort in Desert Hot Springs (near Palm Springs), in sunny California.

We are thrilled that our dear friends – and co-hosts of the show – Tom and Caitlin Morton of Mortons on the Move will be joining us. Tom and Cait will be fresh back from their amazing GO NORTH adventure, with plenty of stories to share! Also attending this event will be Jason and Rae of the Getaway Couple and, of course we, Marc and Julie of RVLove – will be there, along with many others in the RVing community.

Event Details

This event is FREE to attend and will be held in Catalina’s Upper Clubhouse, by the main mineral spa pool. Catalina will be serving up a light, continental breakfast, including coffee, tea and orange juice too. So if you are feeling festive and want mimosas, feel free to bring along a bottle of your favorite bubbly!

Yes, it’s an early start, but what a fun way to celebrate this great show with our RVing community. We can’t think of a better reason to get up so early on a Sunday morning!

After the screening, RVLove and the Mortons also be signing copies of the bestselling book “Living the RV Life – Your Ultimate Guide to Life on the Road” (by Marc and Julie Bennett) which also features The Mortons, and fellow co-hosts / RV veterans – the RV Geeks and Technomadia – plus many more. Keep reading for more info on the show and the event details.

Not in the south west?

If you can’t join us in person for this event, here’s a great article by Technomadia that explains all of your options for watching the show, no matter where you are). More details on other watch parties / events further down in this post.

What is the RVers?

In case you hadn’t heard, “The RVers” is a new television series dedicated to the RV lifestyle craze that’s sweeping the nation and the world. Current estimates are that more than 30 million people in North America live, vacation, or travel in their RV.

In addition to premiering on the Discovery Channel, The RVers will air on PBS, across Canada on the Wild Pursuit Network and Bell TV’s CHEK, as well as internationally through Canamedia. The series will also be available digitally on Apple TV (formerly iTunes), Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, Microsoft Xbox, and Vudu.

Anthony Nalli is the brainchild behind this show, as the creator, host and narrator. The RVers is the latest show by Four Points Television, the award-winning producer of the world’s most popular aviation TV series, The Aviators. The series has received a ton of support from many RV companies and organizations.

The first episode of the show will feature all hosts, including Mortons on the Move. Tom and Caitlin Morton hit the road as full-time RVers in September 2015 and recently completed a six-month journey through Canada and Alaska up to the Arctic Ocean, spanning more than 12,000 miles. They are videographers for the new TV series, as well as sharing co-host duties with other RV notables in the industry and dear friends: John Sullivan and Peter Knize of The RV Geeks, and Cherie Ve Ard and Chris Dunphy of Technomadia.

You can learn more about the show here and at the official show website.

  1. We’ve been following your RV adventures and learning from your tips and tricks for several years. It will be great to meet you guys in person.

The biggest challenge is getting up at the crack of dawn on a Sunday!

    • Oh so great you are coming! Yes, getting up that early won’t be easy – have you considered coming to spend the night at Catalina the night before? They have discounted rates and will be much easier to roll out of your RV into the clubhouse than drive in from elsewhere. Will be great to meet you!

      • Hey there. I’m happy for the hosts of this show, but struggling to understand why a current fulltimer for years would he interested in this.
        .
Firefighters don’t watch firefighting shows. Police don’t watch Police shows? Football players don’t watch other players. What makes this interesting for current RV’ers.

Was this show intended for the folks who dream about fulltime rv’ing or another audience.

Having met Chris and Cherie at the RVE, they are certainly qualified and super nice folks. I hope the best for them.

        • Hi Paul, knowing that as a percentage, we full time RVers are a pretty small audience. The primary target audience is for people who know very little about RVing, which is of course a much larger audience reached by major networks like PBS and Discovery channel. Maybe the show isn’t of interest to you, but it is extremely interesting to us because all of the hosts are friends of ours, and we love seeing RVing topics in the main stream, especially when it is not a reality tv show, but more educational.
