HOW TO, MODS & DIY
Everyone loves it when a how-to, mod, DIY or makeover can enhance their RV lifestyle and no matter which type of RV you end up with, you’re likely to want or need to make a few changes to make it your own. Whether that’s improving the handling or performance of your RV, repurposing a space to make it work better for your needs or doing a complete RV makeover (as we did) to make it feel like home. The possibilities are endless and doing DIY jobs, mods and makeovers on your RV can be both rewarding and fun. We’ve shared some examples below of how we’ve improved our RVs to better accommodate our needs – inside and out – so have a browse. We hope you find some of them useful.
Ordering a new custom RV mattress is hands down one of the best upgrades we’ve made to our RV. In this post and video, we share our experience unboxing and unrolling our new custom RV mattress. We also share what we like about it, the different layers, and why we chose MattressInsider.com. We also have

In our “Tour de Toilet” video, we check out 9 different kinds of RV toilets of our full-timing RV friends who show us their toilet, explain how it works, and share the pros and cons.
In Part 2 of our 2 part blog/video series about 4-down flat towing, we discuss the different types of braking systems, as well as what specific braking solution we chose and why. We share some specific information about our toad which may help you be aware of any special needs of other towed vehicles you

Marc began considering this in the fall of 2015. He explored the many options available. Finally, after reading an article in Motorhome Magazine about an ‘airless airbags’ solution called Sumo Springs, he got even more
One of the big questions we had during our prep and planning phase was just how much work and time would be involved when it came to packing down the RV for move day – that is, putting everything away in a safe place, unhooking and doing everything we’d need to get road ready so we could head
A common question we get asked is “How do we like our gas RV and did we consider getting a diesel?” The short answer is yes, we did explore getting a diesel coach – they are considered superior for many reasons (performance, ride, comfort etc) which is why they also have a much higher price tag which can be a premium
For the most part, our travel days tend to go pretty smoothly, but last Thursday (October 1) was one of those days that ended up being both a comedy of errors and an adventure in itself ! While we managed to keep a good sense of humor with everything turning out OK in the end, it wasn’t without a few close calls,
We’ve received SO many questions about our reasons for using a tow dolly, the advantages and disadvantages. It was high time we wrote a blog post about it instead of replying to individual emails each time! We’ve compiled the 21 most common questions we get about towing with a dolly versus 4 down and shared

Marc has always placed a high value on work-life balance, health, wellness and on being a
