LIFE ON THE ROAD

Ahhh, life on the road. It can be so different for everyone. Here, we share some of our experiences to give you a taste of what it can entail – from adjusting to the lifestyle, to making new friends, to preparing a big holiday feast in our RV kitchen, to how we handled a royal RV GPS fail at night in the rain. We give you a taste of our farm stay in California, take you along for the ride on our first boondocking adventure in the desert, and share our costs, including water, and fuel usage. We also share some of our campground stays, and recap on our experiences on the road and what we’ve learned over the years. We share the experiences of others, so you can learn from what works for them as well. There is no one size fits all, when it comes to RVing!

We had left behind our suburban

Celebrating Australia Day in the USA

It was Australia Day this week (January 26) – which is kind of like the American 4th of July holiday – and even though we’re here in the USA, we still like to celebrate it. This year, it was with Aussie style burgers for dinner, a pav (pavlova) for dessert and a video with Aussie words

Recipe: Family Favorite Pumpkin Pie

While we managed to keep a good sense of humor with everything turning out OK in the end, it wasn’t without a few close calls,

Podcast: How to full-time and be a happy nomad

I (Julie) recently had the honor of being interviewed for a Podcast by Ingrid Lantz of Chockalife – a website about “Living a Life Less Ordinary” – oh yeah, that tagline is right up my alley! As soon as I read the blog intro for Chockalife, I knew Ingrid and I would have a fantastic conversation, and we sure did!
